SETTERLIN team members helped raise money for ICWHY.org and enjoyed the day at ICWHY’s 13th Annual Sporting Clay Event, “Bringing members and friends of Ohio’s great construction industry together to engage in various events and sporting activities while supporting the needs of today’s youth through charitable fundraising.” Thank you ICWHY and OHIO811 for a great day!

Fall is just around the corner. See the beautiful fall colors from the comfort of the Blacklick Woods Metro Park Canopy Walk built by SETTERLIN. The canopy walk has been a busy destination in Reynoldsburg since its opening in May this year so plan accordingly for an enjoyable day!

The Canopy Walk at Blacklick Woods Metro Park has been generating a lot of buzz in the community. Park visitor numbers are over 140,000 and growing since the opening of the canopy walk! Now the project has won the Craftsmanship Award from the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio. Judges recently visited the site and carefully examined the work. They judged it worthy of this prestigious award.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park Canopy Walk is open on time for park visitors to enjoy this summer. Climb the stairs or take the elevator to the 35-foot high 660-foot-long walkway through the treetops. Recline on a cargo net, cross a rope bridge, and slide down the fire fighter pole.

Setterlin has been awarded a $1.6M. contract by the Fairfield County commissioners to construct a 12,000 SF metal building. The building will house the county sheriff’s SWAT vehicles and will provide better response time thanks to it’s more central location and proximity to U.S. Route 33. This will be Setterlin’s second recent project for Fairfield County as we previously converted a former newspaper building into the county records center in 2019.

Setterlin was recently awarded a $822k. contract to complete a restroom and plaza for the highly anticipated Quarry Trails Park, Columbus and Franklin County Metro Park system’s 20th park. Outside of Setterlin’s contribution, the park features miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, a 25 ft. waterfall, a 166 ft. quarry wall for rock climbing, and two lakes for water sports.

Setterlin has previously worked with Metro Parks on multiple contracts, including projects at Clear Creek, Scioto Grove, Scioto Audubon, and Darby Creek.

Congratulations are in order for three of our craftsmen (Charlie Davis, James Pontious, and Jeff Richard) as they were awarded a BX Craftsmanship Award for their work on the Fairfield County Park District’s Mambourg Nature Center. Through their work they were able to bring the historic lodge back to life while keeping the original character intact. Congrats gentlemen!

Just in time for winter! The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Vinton County Garage located outside of McArthur, Ohio is now complete. The complex includes a 30,000 SF administration building with attached vehicle maintenance garage and washbay, 10,800 SF salt and brine storage building, 9,600 SF cold storage building, and a fuel island.
