FRANKLINTON RISING TRAINS FUTURE TRADESMEN

Franklinton Rising rehabbed a 100 year old 3 bed/1.5 bath property while simultaneously providing hands-on trades raining to local youth. On several occasions Setterlin associates have volunteered their time and talents with the hope that doing so will inspire the trainees to pursue careers within our industry. The finished product was unveiled during a ribbon cutting on February 7th.

Congratulations Franklinton Rising and their trainees for all their hard work! Setterlin looks forward to assisting on future projects.

SETTERLIN RECEIVES EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS

The Associated Builders & Contractors – Central Ohio Chapter recently awarded Setterlin not one but TWO Excellence in Construction Awards! These awards were for our work on the City of Columbus Krieger Court CNG Station and the John Glenn Astronomy Park. Awards were presented during a November 1st ceremony highlighting the work of several local contractors. The event also celebrated the Chapter’s 50th anniversary. Thank you to all of our associates that made these projects a success and congratulations to all award winners!

DUBLIN CITY SCHOOLS’ EMERALD CAMPUS IS IN SESSION

Dublin City Schools’ innovative idea to purchase and renovate an existing four-story, 118,000 SF business complex has paid off! Two floors of the former Verizon building underwent renovations to create the Emerald Campus, a career-orientated academic facility. Students will be able to attend the Emerald Campus in conjunction with their home high school in order to explore career fields such as Business, Engineering, Teaching, Biomedical Research, and IT. In addition, the new campus will house The Bridge Alternate Learning Academy as well as Post Secondary Special Education.

Overall the new building houses multiple classrooms, common areas, conference rooms, a cafeteria, lab space, a screen printing and embroidery shop, and offices. Physical access controls provide a layer of security to ensure only those who are allowed are able to enter areas where children are present.
